Maun Motors Mechanical Workshops

To keep the Maun Motors fleet of Hire and Sales vehicles running at their best, the company has its own purpose-built, fully fitted-out workshops; which maintain exclusively Maun Motors vehicles.  The workshop staff consist of a dedicated team of technicians, trained in mechanical and electrical systems and lorry loader repair and maintenance. All Hire vehicles are serviced and repaired at regular intervals, to keep them performing for the company and the customer.  All Sales vehicles are serviced before they are given to the customer; and should a timing belt or MOT be required, we do all of this too. Besides the on-site crew, the company's staff are equipped to handle breakdowns, be it an "at the scene" repair, or if the vehicle needs to be recovered; Maun Motors is capable of recovering any vehicle on its fleet. Because of Maun Motors' ever-expanding fleet, the need arose for larger workshop facilities and more mechanics, to give the fleet essential support.  Therefore, construction of a brand-new workshop began, and by early 1998, it was in full operation. Since then, the number of technical staff has more than doubled; and more service vehicles equipped for roadside repairs have been comissioned.     Since moving Hire operations to the depot at South Normanton, a large building has been converted and fitted-out, as Maun Motors' major light-vehicle repair workshop; giving the company two specialist workshops - one for light commercials and one for heavy commercials.
